Right-back for Barcelona According to Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Sergino Dest is disgruntled at the club and wants to join German powerhouse Bayern Munich (via the Sport Bible).

Sergino Dest has had a rocky start to his Barcelona career since joining from Ajax for €21 million in 2020. Ronald Koeman, the club's former manager, signed the 21-year-old full-back.

Dest is disillusioned at Barcelona under new boss Xavi Hernandez, according to the aforementioned article.

Despite being a first-team regular, Xavi is said to favour Ronald Araujo, Oscar Mingueza, and Sergi Roberto at right-back. Since the signing of Dani Alves on a free transfer, Dest's competition has increased as well.

Sergino Dest allegedly contacted Bayern Munich about a possible transfer, according to El Nacional. According to rumours, the Bavarian giants are keen to sign the American international and even attempted to sign him before he moved to Barcelona. The Catalan giants are willing to sell Dest in January provided they can secure a €30 million deal.

Sergino Dest has had a good season in Barcelona thus far. Across all competitions, the youngster has made 57 appearances for the Blaugrana, scoring three goals and providing four assists.

Bayern Munich has eliminated Barcelona from the Champions League.

Sergino Dest happened to be in Barcelona's Champions League match against Bayern Munich, which was a must-win game for the Camp Nou club.

Barcelona, on the other hand, was eliminated from Europe's top competition after a 3-0 defeat in Germany.

Following SL Benfica's 2-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv, Barcelona dropped to third place in their group. For the first time since the 2000-01 season, the Catalan giants will not proceed out of their group. Barcelona will have to compete in the Europa League from now on.

Following their elimination from the Champions League, Barcelona manager Xavi has expected more from his team. The manager, who is 41 years old, stated: "We usually strive to dominate and subdue our opponents, but the situation was reversed. We must set higher standards for ourselves. We are the city of Barcelona. This must be a watershed moment in terms of changing dynamics and many other factors. We didn't participate in the competition. It's the Champions League, after all."

It's worth mentioning that Barcelona might qualify for the Champions League next season through the Europa League. The Blaugrana are currently in seventh place in La Liga, having collected 23 points from 15 games.
